A Horse's New Years Resolutions
  • I will not leave when my rider falls off.
  • I will not swing my butt away just as my human puts her foot in the stirrup to mount.
  • I will pick up my feet when walking.
  • I will understand that tractors, deer, etc. are not going to eat me.
  • I will not spook at the leaves blowing in the wind.
  • I will not swish my tail while my human is cleaning my back hooves.
  • I will not bite my farriers butt just because it is there.
  • I will not wipe green slime down the back of my human's white shirt.
  • I will not mooch goodies off every human within a one mile radius.
  • I promise not to dump over the the wheelbarrow of manure while my human is cleaning my stall.
  • I will not grab my new lead rope in my mouth and attempt to lead myself.
  • I will not pull my new shoes off the very next day just to prove I can.
  • I am neither a beaver nor a carpenter.  I will not eat or remodel the stall doors, barn or fences.
  • I accept that every carrot is not for me.
  • I will forgive my human for a very bad haircut, even though I look like a freak.
